After day one of competition at the Horizon League Championships, the UIC Flames track & field program ranks fourth in the women’s standings and the men sit at seventh.

The UIC track & field program will head to the campus of Valparaiso for the 2016 Horizon League Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The three-day competition begins May 6 at 8:30 a.m. CT and will be held at the Warren G. Hoger Track.

The UIC track & field team battled wet and windy conditions competing at the Crusader Open on Saturday. On the campus of Valparaiso, the Flames finished second in the men's competition (61 points) and sixth in the women's rankings (35.50 points).

UIC track & field concluded action late on Saturday night at the Illinois Twilight. The day featured a victory by senior Annemarie Reid in the pole vault after she cleared a height of 12’ 10.25”.
